Childhood Cancer is difficult, especially when the child doesn’t understand everything that is happening. I put together a Cancer Care Package for girls with get well gifts that I carefully selected to give some relief, both physically and emotionally while going through cancer treatments.
As a cancer survivor, I have first hand experience, however, not everyone’s treatments and reactions to treatments are the same. After doing much research, I chose the following items to add to the care package: 1. Chemo port seat belt pillow to help with the discomfort of the seat belt against the surgical area. 2. A boo boo bag which is made with organic flaxseed to heat up or chill for tender areas. 3.Queasy Drops to help with nausea and dry mouth. 4. & 5.A fidget spinner and deck of cards to help the child to focus and have fun with toys that have been proven to entertain and occupy the child’s mind helping to distract from the discomfort of treatments. 6. A sketchbook with colored pencils. It can be used for drawing or journaling which has been proven as an excellent outlet for one’s feelings during tough times. 7. A soft body bald doll (black or white options) that is cuddly and comforting, but also is ‘just like me’ as it has no hair.
DETAILS:
CHEMO PORT SEAT BELT PILLOWS:
*The pillow provides a comfortable cushion without adding pressure to the surgery area.
* With the chemo port seat belt pillow, the two strap attachments secure the pillow in two places so that it doesn’t move.
*Pillows are machine washable in cold water and can be tumble dried on low. Washes best with velcro pieces closed and then pillows are placed inside a laundry bag while washing.
*Made with 100% cotton and filled with 100% polyester fiber fill.
QUEASY DROPS:
Queasy Drops are an excellent way to ease the stomach and help with dry mouth as a result of chemo treatments. They are made with only natural ingredients, doctor recommended, drug free, and safe for kids and adults.
SKETCH BOOK/JOURNAL:
Why Journal? The act of writing (or drawing) one’s thoughts down is a therapeutic way to help one heal and improve one’s overall health. Research shows that spending just twenty minutes a day to write down thoughts have a positive effect on one’s health.
BOO BOO BAGS:
*Boo Boo Bags are approximately 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” and weigh approximately 5 ounces.
*Helps relieve pain and inflammation.
*Can be heated in microwave for muscle stress and discomfort. I use only organic flaxseed so that toxic chemicals are not released when heated in the microwave.
*Can be stored in the freezer and used to help reduce inflammation. Flaxseeds do not form hard clumps during the freezing process. Other commonly used fillers have high water volume which causes clumping.
POP FIDGETS AND CARD GAMES: Fun activities are a great way to distract the mind while going through cancer treatments. These were chosen because they can be played individually or with others. *Pop Fidgets may be a different style than the one shown.

Privacy policy
In order to fulfill one's order, Etsy provides me with the following information: Customer's name, shipping name and address of the recipient, email address, information on which products ordered, as well as any notes written on the order that I would need to complete the order or reply to. I never receive any payment information other than a confirmation that the order has been paid for. I have never and will never share any of the customer's information that I receive without specific approval by the customer. I communicate to my customers through the Etsy messaging system. I never receive phone numbers and, therefore, will never call. The only exception to emailing is if the customer gives me the information and requests that I communicate with them via email. If I need to contact the buyer regarding their order, I will send a message through the Etsy message center. I take the privacy of my customers very seriously and work hard to maintain their trust with this policy.

Care instructions
The Mastectomy and Chemo Port Seat Belt Pillows are both machine washable in cold water, gentle cycle. They can also be tumble dried on gentle, low heat. They wash best when put in a laundry bag while washing. It is also best to close velcro straps before washing.
Eye Pillows, Neck Wraps, Boo Boo Bags and Hand Warmers can be spot cleaned. They cannot get wet.
Most head scarves for hair loss are made of Rayon Challis with 100% Cotton lining. They should be hand washed or machine washed gentle, cold water. Line dry or machine dry on low heat. Iron low to medium heat.
All Scrub Caps and Flannel Scarves are made of 100% cotton and can be machine washed and dried.
Custom and personalized orders
I am happy to work with customers on custom request orders, No commitment is made by the customer or myself until the order is placed.
*If you know that your head size is not typical and you have trouble finding a head cover that fits, please contact me. Sometimes I am able to adjust the size.
*If you would like a product in a different fabric design, please ask as I have many fabric options in my inventory.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Gift wrapping is available at an extra fee of $5.00. I make handmade fabric bags for gift wrapping. Two scarves, or one mastectomy pillow, or on mastectomy pillow plus one chemo port seat belt pillow, or two chemo port seat belt pillows will fit in each bag. Each item is also individually wrapped in tissue paper. I will personalize a note card for any gift (with or without gift wrapping) for no extra charge. A note on the order form stating what you would like written is all I would need.
What are the guidelines for International Custom Fees?
Shipments outside United States may be subject to additional customs fees. These fees vary per country and are the responsibility of the customer. I am currently only shipping to The United States and Canada.
